Dog Squad London are looking for an experienced

Part-Time Dog Groomer (1 day/week initially)

to join us in our dog grooming salon in the Wandsworth Riverside Quarter.

The role will involve:

Full grooming on a range of small - medium sized dogs to include; bathing/shampooing, drying, checking & cleaning paws/pads/eyes/ears/nails/tear stain removal/dematting/clipping and scissor finish//handstripping and brushing) You will be solo working on 1:1 basis in the groom room with a standard day to include 5+ dog grooms Acting as the face of the business, welcoming and meeting/greeting customers Keeping the groom room clean and tidy at all times, and doing a full clean down to a high standard at the end of your day Ensure that all health/safety and dog welfare rules are followed and upheld to the highest standards Taking photographs & videos of before/afters for the dogs owners and posting on our social media

Must have requirements:

At least 1 year grooming experience in the salon environment IDEALLY Level 2 or 3 City & Guilds / Grooming diploma

OR experience equivalent to

Most importantly - an adoration and pure love for dogs of all shapes and sizes Ability to confidently groom all dog breeds from start - finish to very high standards, and able to follow 'breed standards' or specific customer requests Excellent communication skills Team player and drive/commitment to help the team where needed Excellent understanding of dog/animal welfare and health & safety laws Show a proven history through references of reliability, trustworthiness and good organization skills

What can we offer you:

We launched our Grooming Salon in January 2024 & our current Groomer works 2days/week. Our business is growing, her diary is full & we are now in need of a second groomer to work 1 day/week initially, with a view to extend to 3 -4 days/ week in the future if of interest.

You will need to be comfortable and confident in solo working. There is lots of room for personal development and long term career growth (we have very ambitious plans).

Hours:

9am -5pm with 30 minutes lunch.

Days: 1 day/week initially.

To be discussed, but likely Monday or Wednesday or Saturday.

Pay: 14.00-20.00 per hour
