Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver with their own vehicle to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle some lifting as part of the delivery process. If you have experience as a driver in the local area , we would love to hear from you.

The position would suit someone that is or close to being retired and would like part times hours to remain semi active.

Responsibilities

Delivering prescription medication according to the pharmacy standard operating procedures. Applicants would need to complete a mandatory delivery driver training course at some point after the probation period.

Safely operate their delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing lifting when necessary. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring goods are delivered in good condition and on time.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with driving regulations and safety practices is essential. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Your own vehicle and a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type is required.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 152.74-163.62 per day

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
