We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary staff in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and meal components, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards. Support chefs in the cooking process, helping with various tasks as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to senior kitchen staff. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning down after service. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal service.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for food preparation is key. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is preferred. Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes will be beneficial. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs in the kitchen.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour
