As a Paraplanner you will implement the new business journey, ensuring that you handle every step - from research to report writing and form preparation to submitting final recommendations - with care and precision. Additionally, by being a qualified member of the Paraplanning team who handles these tasks in a timely, efficient and accurate manner; you're doing your bit to help ensure our clients receive the high-quality service that aligns with our client-centred approach.
In addition to these Paraplanning responsibilities, you will follow a structured training and development plan designed to support your transition into a Financial Planner. This program will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to work directly with clients - guiding them towards their financial goals. By the end of the program, you'll be positioned to provide independent, tailored advice and recommendations that empowers clients to achieve their aspirations and financial security.

Key Responsibilities:
Writing financial planning and suitability reports and letters using the appropriate research tools, ensuring the best client outcomes.
Ensuring that the client file including Fact Find, Adviser meeting notes and product information is fully and comprehensively complete.
Ensuring that client files, suitability reports and letters are fully compliant and technically accurate, liaising regularly with internal and external compliance support.
Obtaining illustrations, information and valuations from product providers as required.
Completing and checking tax calculations where necessary.
Ensuring business is submitted to providers, promptly, accurately and within the agreed timescales.
Providing support and training to educate and guide other staff members where required.
Assisting with research required by IFP's Proposition Team.
Ensuring processes and workflows are followed in line with IFP standards.
Maintain your daily task organiser, planning your workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
Deliver an efficient, friendly, and professional service for all clients, providers, professional partners, and visitors.
Work in line with IFP's CPD scheme and T&C scheme.
Adhere to the cross-cutting rules and act in the spirit of the Consumer Duty to support the achievement of good Client Outcomes.
Skills & Experience Required:
Achieved/working towards CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, followed by CII Level 6 Chartered Financial Planner, must include CII AF5 qualification (essential)
1 year experience in Paraplanning
Full completion of the Financial Planner training programme (minimum 24-month period)
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes and, desirably, Intelligent Office.
Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good grasp of English language and Mathematical concepts.
Takes personal responsibility for consistently delivering high quality work with an excellent level of attention to detail.

starting salary range
for this role is 27,040 to 39,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualification progress towards Chartered status.
