We are looking for a full time paralegal to support primarily the managing partner of the firm with a demanding insolvency and restructuring caseload by carrying out legal work under his supervision, together with administrative support.
Typical duties may include assisting with drafting (letters before action, applications/claims, witness statements, documents and other correspondence, etc.); issuing applications/claims (both at court and/or via ce-filing) and subsequent case management; attending meetings and court hearings and taking notes; filing; creating documents/templates; answering the phone and taking messages; carrying out research; dealing with clients, suppliers, barristers and third parties; attending business development and marketing events; and all general office duties as required in a small firm.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have completed a law degree (or equivalent legal qualification) and the LPC/SQE. Prior legal work experience in the areas of insolvency and restructuring would also be advantageous, but this is not a requirement as the role is intended to be entry level.
