Job Description

Green & Olive Solicitors are currently looking to recruit driven and enthusiastic Paralegals to further expand their Private Client, Dispute Resolution and Family departments.

Some of the key duties will be as follows:



Private Client



Assisting in drafting Wills and Codicils. Gathering information from clients to help tailor estate planning advice. Supporting with inheritance tax planning (under solicitor supervision). Helping prepare probate applications (both grant of probate and letters of administration). Collecting and valuing assets, settling debts, and distributing estates. Preparing estate accounts and documentation for HMRC. Drafting and registering LPAs for clients. Liaising with the Office of the Public Guardian when needed. Acting as a first point of contact for clients during often sensitive times. Gathering information, updating clients on case progress, and handling routine queries. Drafting letters and legal documents. Maintaining case files and ensuring compliance with legal and firm standards. Conducting legal research when required.

Family & Dispute Resolution



Advising a mixed client base; file creation and client care correspondence; negotiate settlements; drafting court proceedings, witness statements and affidavits and assisting with the preparation of trial bundles; assisting with the preparation of cases for hearings; building and maintaining effective client relationships; ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures; deal wherever possible with routine client enquiries and communications; Ensuring that client matter files are kept up to date with correspondence and documents; Deal wherever possible with routine client enquiries and communications; Ensuring that client matter files are kept up to date with correspondence and documents

The right candidates will have:



Experience working as a paralegal Excellent client care skills Good interpersonal skills and client facing skills Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to speak to people on the phone. Commercial awareness Be able to prioritise work, work to tight deadlines and keep calm under pressure The ability to complete assigned tasks effectively and promptly; Adaptable and accommodating;
