ob Title: Body Panel Repair Specialist
Reports To: Bodyshop Supervisor
Position Overview:
As a Body Panel Repair Specialist, your primary role will involve restoring or replacing damaged vehicle body panels according to the specifications detailed on job cards. You may also be tasked with working on chassis and structural components, ensuring all repairs meet industry safety standards and professional quality benchmarks.
Main Responsibilities:
For Certified Technicians:
Complete all assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Oversee and guide less experienced technicians when necessary.
For Assistant Technicians:
Collaborate closely with qualified technicians under supervision.
Core Duties:
Remove and repair vehicle parts by repairing or replacing extensively damaged panels.
Operate tools such as jigs, fixtures, and welding equipment following safety procedures and company policies.
Comply with manufacturer guidelines and modification notices related to chassis and body panel repairs.
Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry practices.
Handle vehicles carefully to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the integrity of tools and equipment.
Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping standards diligently.
Technical Skills:
Your technical abilities will be assessed and validated by your team leader or supervisor.
Additional Duties:
As the organization evolves, you may be assigned additional tasks aligning with your expertise at the discretion of senior management.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: Up to 52,000 OTE, including site bonuses (based on experience and qualifications).
Experience Needed: Minimum of 3 years; ATA accreditation is preferred.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Holidays: 30 days per year, including public holidays, with opportunities to earn extra days for long service.
