What will this role achieve?


To work as part of a team in the factory working on different lines packing a variety of biscuits.

What will be your key deliverables?

• 
  Responsible for tray weights and filling up pallets with full trays of product and recording data.
• 
  Manually pack products within specifications (includes bending, lifting, stretching)
• 
  Visually check for foreign matter / hazards
• 
  Ensure quality of biscuits being packed is within product specifications
• 
  Ensure adherence to all quality and safety standards.
• 
  Work to a high standard, enabling plants to achieve planned output.
• 
  Report any problems to Packing Manager.
• 
  Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.
• 
  Support the Supervisors in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives.
• 
  Provide a co-ordinated link with all production processes on the line.

  Basic numerical and literacy knowledge
• 
  Manual dexterity
• 
  Basic communication skills
• 
  Basic problem recognition
• 
  Knowledge of manufacturing environment
• 
  Ownership essential. Must be accountable for own work and area.

  Supportive within the team.
• 
  Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)

Desirable

Previous experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given.

Shift Pattern

Shift B Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday 37 hours per week. Two-week rolling rota: Week 1: 6am-2pm, Week 2: 2pm-10pm
