Role Overview
As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple painting and decorating projects from pre-start to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to our high standards. You will work closely with estimators, site supervisors, clients, and the internal team to maintain strong communication, resolve issues, and uphold excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee multiple commercial painting and decorating projects simultaneously.
Coordinate site activities and liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and clients.
Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Programme and schedule works to meet client deadlines.
Manage project costs and variations, working with surveyors and commercial managers to maintain financial control.
Attend client meetings, site inspections, and progress reviews.
Lead project handovers, snagging, and completion processes.
Support site teams with technical advice and problem-solving.
Maintain accurate records, project documentation, and reports.
Uphold Pembroke & Bull's reputation by delivering excellent customer service.
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction or painting and decorating industry.
Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, health & safety, and contract management.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure.
Financially astute with experience managing budgets and variations.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Full UK driving licence.
