We are now looking for a

packing operator

to join the Gripple operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, hard-working individual capable of working both as part of a team and on their own.

The role




We are looking for someone technical, enthusiastic and flexible with a keen eye for detail. Based at our Riverside Works site and reporting to a team leader, your main task will be to operate packaging equipment whilst ensuring the product quality is up to standard. Energy, enthusiasm and an ability to do some lifting are crucial. The position will also involve:


operating machinery and equipment to high standards ensuring targets are achieved bagging, boxing and palletising goods effectively prioritising customer orders to meet demand in a fast-faced environment basic fault finding to identify machinery inefficiencies undertaking asset care as part of your daily role maintaining and driving forward 5S standards using IT systems (E8 & MIP/Gemba) to update works orders and complete quality checks completing documentation for traceability and invoicing purposes

Working hours




The position will entail working regular mornings and afternoons Monday to Friday on a two-week shift pattern. Night shift and weekend work may also be required to meet the demands of the business and you may also be required to help in other areas on site. A flexible, can do attitude is therefore paramount.


Who you are?




Knowledge, skills and experience:


good mechanical aptitude and a passion for engineering numeracy skills and an ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, with a good standard of written and spoken English proficient in IT

enthusiasm with a good work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills attention to detail an organised approach and ability to cope well under pressure good problem-solving capacity and ability to work on own initiative a flexible, hard-working and can do attitude and adaptability to changes in your working environment a willingness to learn other disciplines self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team the drive to challenge machine targets, always identify areas for improvement and remain vigilant and observant
