Job description
The Education and Student Services (ESS) Directorate at Queen\xe2\x80\x99s University Belfast is currently seeking to appoint a candidate to the post of Outreach Assistant.
This post is available to assist with the coordination of the University\xe2\x80\x99s Widening Participation initiatives (including the Queen\xe2\x80\x99s Academy Programmes) aimed at engaging with/recruiting the most able least likely students. The successful candidate will develop and manage the delivery of specific projects as part of an aspiration and attainment raising Programme (e.g., Junior Academy, Senior Academy, Pathway Opportunity Programme) working with young people who meet widening participation criteria. The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
A primary degree (or equivalent qualification).
2 years\xe2\x80\x99 recent relevant experience of which at least 1 year must be experience working with young people from disadvantaged target groups.
Experience of event planning, facilitating workshops and delivering presentations to a range of audiences.

This is a fixed term post for 12 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
