The Cotswold Company is a leading furniture retailer known for our high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We are looking for an additional dedicated and proactive Logistics Agent to join our team.
Reporting to the Outbound Logistics Care Team Leader, you will be acting as the main interface between our company and our couriers, you will be quick-thinking, a decision-maker with exceptional customer service as you handle courier feedback and communicate with our customers.
This is a full-time role, working 5 days each week between Monday-Saturday and an expectation that you will attend our Norwich Head Office a minimum of 2 days each week.
Key Duties and responsibilities will include:
Part of the main interface between us and our couriers for performance and feedback. Escalating more complex issues to the Outbound Logistics Manger or Senior.
Lodge claims with couriers for damages/lost stock and managing the outcome until completion.
Escalating up to the Outbound Logistics Manager when unable to resolve or experience problems.
Logging all feedback from customers for all couriers to then use in performance reviews. Ensuring all complaints are raised with the relevant couriers.
General Responsibilities:

To have up to date knowledge of H&S working directives and good practice. Awareness of own health and safety and how it may affect others in the workplace. Report any health and safety concerns to your line manager or Health and Safety Officer.
To promote the company and the work of the team in a positive manner always.
Qualifications, skills & experience required
Essential:
Demonstrable experience of working with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to take a logical and analytical approach to solving problems and saving costs.
Proven track record of achieving speedy responses times and positive customer reviews
Successful experience in a customer service/complaints environment
Whilst not essential, it would be great if you had:
Minimum of 1-year experience working in a Logistics role or within the transport industry.
Previous experience with implementing new couriers and systems.
Advanced excel / powerpoint skills
Ability to prioritise.
