Orthotics Department, Derwent Valley Medical Practice, 18 St Marks Rd, Derby, DE21 6AH AND Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Outpatient Suite 5, Calow, Chesterfield, S44 5BL

Job Summary:



We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic administrator/receptionist who is looking for an opportunity to be develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic team in Derbyshire. The ideal candidate will support the end to end service delivery requirements for our Orthotics Service patients including speedy and accurate response to referral and appointment management, order processing, support of clinicians within the service, reception and administration duties, ensuring accuracy of information and maintenance of department systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:



Some of the key responsibilities the role holder will have responsibility for:

Managing reception area, ensuring clean and presentable, maintaining security (visitor log and patient check in). Positive first point of contact for Opcare. Greeting and welcoming all patients and visitors in a helpful and friendly manner. Booking in patients promptly and scheduling further appointments where necessary. Receiving and making telephone calls, both to patients and healthcare professionals. Conversing with clinicians to identify and resolve patient issues. Processing orthotic referrals (patient/supply/ward) received via email/e-referral. Booking in and dispatching of goods. Preparing items for clinics. Adding new patient details accurately on to REHAPP. Processing direct sale orders for patient items handed over. Liaising with suppliers/chasing orders.
The role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement service improvements for the betterment of patients in the Derbyshire area.

Qualifications:



Proven track record in administration ideally within a healthcare environment Microsoft excel and word Order processing and data entry using in house systems Reception work
