Job Summary
Salary: \xc2\xa350,000 - \xc2\xa355,000 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Full time in office.

What are we looking for?
Reporting to the Head of Protective Services, you will take on a high-profile role within CCL, with organisational wide responsibility. You will provide expert advice, guidance, information, training, and support CCL at all levels, in relation to all Emergency Planning/Business Continuity and Resilience matters, covering all elements aligned to the Civil Contingencies Act (2004), NIMS and FEMA, as well as the CQC regulator.
The primary role is to support the detailed day to day operational aspects of the mitigation and management of incidents applying the principles of integrated Emergency Management to Anticipate, Assess, Prevent, and respond to incidents.
You will have extensive subject matter expertise in emergency management, business continuity and resilience risk, providing detailed specialist advice in respect of emergency planning and resilience matters. You will develop strong external relationships and provide liaison with NHS, government, and private providers.
What will your duties include?
Developing and promoting resilience through a comprehensive training, exercise, and continuous improvement process
Responsible for ensuring that all caregivers have the appropriate training
Lead on the development and implementation of the Emergency Planning and Business Continuity strategy.
Ensure that all relevant legal and regulatory requirements are met and adhered to.
Ensure that major incident and business continuity policies, procedures and plans are embedded throughout the organisation
Ensure that all documentation relating to incident response, business continuity and resilience is in place
Ensure that all risks that have the potential to impact resilience are managed through the risk management process
During an incident, support the incident response team, ensure all roles are filled, processes are followed and liaise with your counterpart in CCF as required
Ensure that there is an annual organisational wide and departmental business impact analysis audit
Ensure that the incident command centre is maintained in a state of readiness and that latest versions of all documentation printed and electronic is available to incident command caregivers
Undertake risk and horizon scanning and ensure that risks are managed through the CCL risk management process
Facilitate and document debriefs and after-action reviews following incidents to ensure plans are updated to reflect lessons identified and new processes are embedded
Understand national and central London emergency planning
What we need from you?
Master\xe2\x80\x99s level or equivalent is required or experience in Emergency Management will offset the degree (essential)
Evidence of maintaining continuous professional development
Knowledge of NIMS, FEMA, business continuity standards and Civil contingencies Act 2004 (desirable)
Ability to read, speak and write in English (essential)
Adaptability and flexibility are important in this role, including ability to work with different time zones and working with other cultures
Understanding of the risk management process
Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Project (essential)
Excellent written / verbal communication skills which includes servicing meetings and reporting/briefing (essential)
Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence staff at all levels (essential)
Demonstrate commitment to personal development by undertaking appropriate professional development training (essential)
Excellent organisational skills, including high level of accuracy and ability to work to tight deadlines.(essential)
Ability to drive through high quality standards (essential)
Prepared to provide out of hours support as required (essential)
