On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Oracle PL/SQL Developer for an initial 6 month contract based in London with remote work available.

Purpose of the Role:

Working within the Global Market IT department, the team supports, maintains and develops a 24/5 settlements platform. The core functionality covers confirmations, announcements, payments, accounting and any reporting requirements. The team work closely with operations stakeholders and with a wide range of IT teams responsible for deal capture, PnL and reporting systems. All of the systems developed by the team have high robustness, availability and throughput requirements.

This position is for a senior developer, to focus on integrating new businesses into the system, focusing on performance and resilience. Strong software development and analytical skills, and experience of working closely with stakeholders and with offshore development teams are required.

The back-end components of the systems are principally developed in C/Pro-C, SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.

What we require from the candidate:

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong PL/SQL programming skills - developing complex packages, stored procedures, functions and implementing best practices in PL/SQL programing.
• Performance / fine turning experience.
• Development expertise in Unix/Linux.
• Use of unit-testing strategies.
• Ability to programing in C or Pro C
