Crown Oil Environmental is a fast-growing division of Crown Oil Ltd, one of the UK's largest and most established independent distributors of fuels and lubricants. This division specialises in a range of oil-related services, including removing redundant fuels, maintaining commercial and industrial tanks, and servicing operations at customer sites across the UK.

Role Overview:



We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Planner to join our engineering team. In this vital role, you will take the lead in resource allocation to site, material planning, and cost management. You will also ensure the seamless and efficient execution of our projects. You will work closely with engineers, operations, sales, clients, and suppliers to develop and maintain schedules that align with project timelines and adhere to our budgets.

Your expertise in planning and scheduling will be instrumental in anticipating project needs and proactively addressing potential challenges before they impact delivery. You will leverage various software and tools to monitor progress and optimise resource allocation effectively. Furthermore, your strong analytical skills in cost analysis and budget management will reinforce our commitment to delivering projects on time and within financial parameters.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and maintain project schedules using in-house management software. Coordinate with engineering teams to accurately allocate engineers to site locations. Monitor and track the progress of projects to ensure adherence to timelines. Conduct material planning to ensure the timely delivery of necessary resources and supplies. Analyse project costs and develop budget forecasts to ensure cost-effective planning. Identify potential bottlenecks in project schedules and work collaboratively to resolve issues. Prepare regular reports on project status, resource utilisation, and budget performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:



Proven experience as a project planner or scheduler in construction or related sectors. Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks. Full UK driving license; willing to travel if needed. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for anticipating challenges. Exceptional verbal and written communication for stakeholder engagement. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with engineering terminology related to project execution. Team-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
