Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead and coordinate our growing portfolio of residential & commercial solar battery storage, EV charging, and electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical and renewable energy systems, combined with strong leadership skills to manage operations effectively. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards. Administrative support will be provided to assist with logistics, documentation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all operational aspects of residential & commercial projects working closely with our Sales & Electrical Teams. Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, including CDM requirements, risk assessments, and on-site protocols. Develop and implement operational procedures that support efficiency, safety, and quality assurance. Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery. Work closely with our Health & Safety Consultants to conduct audits, toolbox talks, and incident reviews as needed. Monitor project performance, costs, and schedules, and proactively address potential issues. Support the delivery of high-quality installations that meet both client expectations and regulatory standards. Lead and mentor site supervisors and engineers, ensuring alignment with company values and goals. Utilise administrative support for scheduling, procurement, compliance tracking, and document control. Liaise with clients and third parties, providing progress updates and handling operational queries. Assist in resource planning and recruitment to support project needs.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in an operations or project management role within the renewable energy or electrical contracting sectors. Strong knowledge of electrical & renewable energy technologies. Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations, particularly in construction and electrical environments (e.g., HSE, CDM, NICEIC). Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent. Ability to manage multiple projects across different locations simultaneously. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient with project management tools, Microsoft Office, and CRM/ERP systems. Full Clean Driving Licence

Desirable

Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, etc.) are advantageous. Experience working with DNOs, network design, or grid connections. Familiarity with funding/grant schemes related to renewable energy or EV infrastructure.

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
