This company is one of the UK\'s largest privately-owned industrial engineering companies. They provide engineering services to industry covering Machinery Installation and Relocation, Mechanical Engineering, Technical and Heavy Lifting and Wind Turbine Generator Construction on a National & International scale.
The role will involve travelling nationally, so your current geographical location is unimportant. you will be provided with a decent standard of hotel accommodation and generous allowances for food & beverages.
This vital role involves the candidate providing support to our national network of branches (London, Bristol, Rotherham, Wigan & Glasgow).
THE ROLE:
- Organize internal resources to complete jobs on multiple sites and issue
necessary instructions and paperwork.
- Purchase required goods and services such as hired equipment, materials, and specialized sub-contract services, including on/off hire and buying within set budgets.
- Manage training files and renewals or certifications for all relevant staff.
- Ensure all equipment is tested and inspected in line with legal requirements.
- Maintain orderly job files for each job.
- Register opportunities on the company\'s CRM system.
- Administer job information through the company\'s project cost system.
- Interpret resource requirements, durations, budgets etc, through cost sheets, method statements etc.
- Raise sales invoices for completed works.
- Process wage claim forms via checking hours worked against trackers etc.
- Organize and maintain the office and workshop in an orderly manner.
- All personnel have responsibilities to apply the requirements of IMS systems and to make a positive contribution to constantly improve our QESH performance.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Relevant experience in ONE of the following: transportation or logistics management; plant and equipment hire management; construction; engineering operations; asset management; or general business management.
