What you\'ll do
The Viasat mobility Energy team services oil & gas customer telecommunications requirement using VSAT (fixed & Stabilized terminals), PtP/LOS, Fiber optics, LTE & Radio systems to connect to the customer site infrastructure and telecoms systems. The Viasat offshore technicians team will install, commission and maintain the offshore systems supported by the onshore staff of Engineering, Build & Test, Warehouse, Logistics, Coordinators and Project Managers as well as the customer support center (CSC). The Operations Coordinator is a key position providing an organized, priority driven & controlled management of all activities required to deliver Viasat services to the customer sites. Taking the requirements from Operations Supervisor; and, understanding the technical, commercial and customer requirements through: planning, implementing, controlling performance and closing is a skilled and performance driven expertise. It requires close organization and the ability to work with: all Viasat team members, third party contractors, customer IT departments and offshore assets to deliver the services on time.
A strong technical background in offshore VSAT, LTE and Telecoms in the Oil & Gas offshore industry will enable an understanding of: the typical solutions hardware, configuration, installation and problem solving to assist in the delivery and commissioning of services supporting the technicians offshore by running onshore support through to completion. The expectation of multiple jobs at differing levels of complexity can be delivered simultaneously with good time management, communication and priority setting with a lively telecoms environment.
