Open Banking Developer
Knutsford

As a Barclays Open Banking Developer, you will work within the Access Management team on leading and driving software development and automation of the Access Management security product and services across both Onpremise, private cloud and AWS Cloud. You will also be involved in front-end, back-end, Application Programme Interface development, deployment, scripting, testing and automation.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?

• Designing and developing highly resilient, highly performant and fully secure software modules for access management services
• Adhering to best practices for software development at large and those within our team
• Working as part of Global development and automation work streams and Progress changes through the full software development life cycle
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to discuss priorities and details across functional, non-functional and security requirements
• Understanding the requirement and creating architecture for the application from the base
• Working with production support teams to quickly and effectively respond to any issues
• Leading meetings with internal stakeholders across IT and the business
• Driving and influencing global teams for project-oriented work and building consensus within groups to move in the strategic direction

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline along with experience in developing products and services for Information Security
• Experience as Java Developer or Full Stack Developer role and having worked within an investment bank/finance sector as an expert in Java Development
• Deep subject-matter expertise in all areas of development, automation, and scripting with DevOPS and DevSecOPS knowledge
• Knowledge of UI design and development using Angular, Bootstrap, jQuery etc. and Automation using Jenkins, Chef, Puppet or Ansible; Scripting using Perl

Skills that will help you in the role:

• AWS Experience \xe2\x80\x93 EC2, S3, Route 53, VPC, NLB, Nginx, ELK, CloudWatch, IAM roles, Availability Zones, Cloud HSM; Knowledge of Docker Container
• Knowleage and Experience in Regulatory standards like: UK Open Banking, Pay.UK Confirmation of Payee
• Proven track record of successful project delivery. Experience of working on large, multi-threaded, globally distributed, and complex projects

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
