The OPCC provides a link between Hampshire & Isle Wight Constabulary (HIOWC) and the communities they serve through setting the budget and holding the Chief Constable to account in the delivery of an efficient and effective service.As a Governance Support & Customer Services Officer you will provide the gateway into the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner for Hampshire & the Isle of Wight (OPCC HIOW), dealing with visitors, telephone calls, emails and other communications in an efficient, effective and professional manner, as well as providing administrative and other business support for all teams and tasks delegated by line managementWorking alongside another team member this role will mainly focus on supporting the Complaints Review and Hearings Manager.About the RoleYour role will occupy an important position in the OPCC HIOW and will have responsibility for delivering a range of administrative support, particularly the preparation and logistical arrangements related to police misconduct hearings and complaints. Liaising with customers and clients, completing research, answering casework and enquiries, maintaining records and updating databases, and supporting managers and teams.
