Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. This role is a living on-site role, and you will be required to cover call out for a 1 week period, every 4 weeks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in various environments. TAs a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties. Where necessary, supervise external contractors in the installation of the larger mechanical systems. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Assemble and plumb gas systems using appropriate tools and techniques. Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Carry out heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any significant findings to management.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in gas engineering or related fields. Basic math's skills for calculations related to installations and repairs. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools . Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
