Onshore Telecom EngineerPlan, design, and implement telecommunication systems, including voice, data, and/or video communication systems. Design, build, configure,
and commission devices, networks, and systems, and ensure systems interconnect with equipment from different manufacturers, service providers,
and users. Analyze the needs of the organization and translate requirements into detailed technical specifications. Monitor and test systems and
peripheral equipment, identify and diagnose faults, and troubleshoot problems. Oversee the installation of telecommunications equipment and
facilities, such as complex electronic switching systems, copper wire telephone facilities, and fiber optics. Evaluate system performance levels and
improve capabilities as needed. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in the provision of systems. Assess
performance levels of system hardware and software to project future needs and develop short and long-terms plans for updating equipment,
adding capabilities, enhancing existing systems, and providing improved telecommunications. Determine the type and arrangement of circuits,
transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines, and equipment. Conduct cost and traffic analysis to determine the best use of resources.
Maintain highest levels of telecommunication security and protection from disaster. Collaborate with various internal groups and external vendors to
ensure all installations meet specifications, ensuring the resolution of problems as they arise. Career-level professional within field. Considered
highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
