Compass Associates are delighted to be working with a leading private hospital in their search for Senior Oncology Occupational Therapist. Our client has over four decades of expertise at providing the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, acute neurological rehabilitation, gynaecology and cancer care.

Rated as \'outstanding\' by the CQC, this Private hospital encompasses world class outpatients and diagnostic treatment centres along with a renowned cancer centre where this position is primarily based. The Specialist Oncology Occupational Therapist will be responsible for holding a full clinical caseload whilst also supporting the Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist and team lead in the clinical development of the Occupational Therapist team and services.

Essential Requirements

\xe2\x80\x93 HCPC Registration
\xe2\x80\x93 Degree in Occupational Therapy
\xe2\x80\x93 Prior experience managing caseloads in oncology and medical specialities

Duties & Responsibilities

\xe2\x80\x93 Responsible for a medical and post op Oncology clinical caseload, providing high quality Occupational Therapy care to patients across the hospital campus\'s
\xe2\x80\x93 To be able to provide clinical support across all specialities, including Intensive care, general surgery, orthopaedics and cardiorespiratory.
\xe2\x80\x93 Use expert clinical reasoning to provide specialist intervention, support and advice to patients, ensuring best practice is applied at all times.
\xe2\x80\x93 To provide comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments for each patient.
\xe2\x80\x93 To plan and implement treatment using a goal planning system.
\xe2\x80\x93 To maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise treatment records detailing the individual patient\'s treatment plan and progress.
\xe2\x80\x93 To ensure patients and carers are involved in the planning and delivery of their own care.
\xe2\x80\x93 To participate in the out of hours occupational therapy cover, including weekends and bank holidays, where required by the service
