Job Description

Carmichael are seeking an offshore sub agent for a major project in the Bristol area for Hinkley Point C work.

The correct candidate will have all necessary offshore experience, but be working onshore in Avonmouth, with the occasional requirement to work offshore.

This role is to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

Engineering Control

• Technical interface with project Suppliers, Contractors and Client.
• Review designs of permanent and temporary works.
• Coaches subordinates

Quality

• Produces Activity Control Plans
• Actively uses the Specification as a reference document
• Maintains a comprehensive filing system of quality records
• Identifies, raises and actions Non Conformance Reports
• Identifies and raises Technical Queries with possible solutions

Health Safety & Environmental

• Reviewes Method Statements and Risk Assessments
• Prepares and raises Temporary Works Briefs
• Completes Accident Book and associated reports as required

Productivity

• Communicates weekly programme and targets to the team

Commercial

• Collates Weekly Measure information and monitors wastage against budget allowances / KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
• Carries out a labour and plant reconciliation
• Identifies items of additional work and raises the necessary notifications
• Works to specific terms, conditions and outputs of relevant subcontractors and suppliers

About you:

• Experience in marine construction or offshore industries.
• Strong knowledge of construction process in one or more of the following areas: marine piling, large diameter drilling, lifting operations, offshore grouting.
• Strong understanding of construction tolerances.
• Review designs of permanent and temporary works.
• Relevant Engineering Degree (Civils, Mechanical or Coastal)
• Offshore tickets are desirable

Pay: \xc2\xa3500 per day Umbrella. Inside IR35
