Pict Offshore is a growing company providing access and material lifting systems to the offshore wind sector. We are a Joint venture with ?rsted - a global leader in offshore wind. Having successfully deployed our GUS150 products to the Hornsea 2 windfarm in the North Sea and North East Project in the US Atlantic we are expanding our operation to fulfil further orders and need smart, energetic and motivated people to join our team.
We are looking for an Offshore Service Technician to service and maintain our GUS units in the field and ensure our high quality standards for the GUS product range are met.
Main duties:
Service and maintenance tasks on systems installed offshore
Commissioning work
Initial debug on defective equipment
Repairs of defective equipment
Formal inspections on equipment
Working and living offshore on a rotation which may involve helicopter transfers
Completion of technical documents and maintenance records
Inventory control
PPE Maintenance
Liaison with operators and users of our systems
Liaison with back-office staff
Essential Candidate requirements
HNC or equivalent in electrical discipline, or 3 years' experience in
electro-mechanical maintenance
Good IT skills
Able to work with minimal supervision and show initiative
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Be able to follow instructions and read schematic drawings
Attention to detail and methodical approach
Good communication skills
Responsible attitude to health and safety
UK Driver's license
Permit to work in UK
Advantageous knowledge/experience
GWO Basic Safety Training, HUET and Enhanced First Aid are advantageous, but all required training will be provided.
Work visa for USA
Additional Information About the Role:
This is a predominantly offshore role, and you will be expected to work in all weather, and it will include working at heights. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an offshore medical assessment including a Chester Step Test. Typical rotation will be 15 days on 13 days off, offshore days/nights are around 12 hours. You may be required to work paid overtime for training and specific company activities.
