Job Description

Due to continued expansion we are recruiting for the role of office admin & accounts assistant. Based in our roastery on the outskirts of York, you will be a key member of the team helping to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. This is a broad and varied role in a fast paced environment, excellent time management skills are essential, as is experience with Xero, our accounting software.

About us



We are an artisan coffee roaster operating out of our roastery in Nether Poppleton, suppling wholesale and retail speciality coffee to businesses across the UK, as well as running an online web shop. Quality of product and service is central to our culture and is the driving force behind our success, we are now looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our small but passionate team.

Coffee knowledge is not essential but a keen interest would be beneficial.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Order processing and invoicing using Xero Maintaining digital and physical office records Managing office supplies and inventory Assisting in weekly stock takes and product ordering Answering inbound calls, taking orders and answering customer queries Managing multiple email inboxes Filing and organising account information Ensuring that all account details are kept up to date Outbound calls to our wholesale customers to ensure accounts are up to date and customers are receiving excellent customer service Ensuring wholesale customers payments are in line with payment terms Chasing supplier invoices General office admin Assisting our in house engineer with appointment booking, calendar management and ordering of parts Manage company certifications & other membership requirements Coordinate & Report on company processes including: fire, food safety, health & safety Manage Customer database & calendar customer contact

Relevant experience



Working as a part of a team in a fast-paced working environment. A background/experience of basic accounting skills and customer relations is essential.

Skills



Team player, diligent, good interpersonal skills, IT competent, excellent numeracy skills.

Previous knowledge of coffee and tea is not necessary, but an interest would be advantageous.
