Salary: 23,300 - 27,800 based on experience & qualifications



Location: Welling



Contract type: Full Time, Term Time Only plus 1 week

Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate

Occupational Therapy Assistant

to join our supportive multi-disciplinary team.

About the Role:



As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll work under the guidance of our qualified Occupational Therapist to help deliver therapy interventions and support pupils in accessing their learning through tailored sensory and functional strategies. You'll support the development of pupils' independence, self-regulation, motor coordination, and life skills--both in the classroom and in specialist settings such as our sensory spaces and therapy rooms.

Your Key Responsibilities:



Implement therapy programmes designed by the OT for individual pupils and small groups Support students with sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, and daily living skills Help create and adapt resources and equipment to support access to learning Monitor and record progress, sharing feedback with the therapy and teaching teams Collaborate closely with teachers, pastoral staff, families, and external professionals Encourage student independence, confidence, and self-esteem through meaningful activities

About You:



Experience working with children/young people with SEND, particularly ASD, SEMH, and/or sensory needs A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or OTA training) is desirable Passionate about inclusion and making a real difference in the lives of young people Patient, empathetic, and a great communicator Organised and proactive, with a flexible and positive approach Able to work effectively within a team as well as independently
