We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Heath Technician to join our Workplace Health team.
The role is suitable for new and recent graduates coming from educational backgrounds such as Sports & Exercise Science/Sports Therapy/Sports Rehabilitation or similar. Equally, we would love to hear from applicants who have experience in similar roles within the Occupational Health sector. Whilst previous experience in a health-based role is advantageous, we provide a full training programme meaning that candidates have the opportunity to begin a new career in the field of Occupational Health and Wellbeing.
This is a very varied role enabling the job holder to undertake a broad remit of work and become multiskilled across a variety of testing techniques and assessments.

What you'll be doing:
Provision of health assessment and health surveillance programmes for a variety of clients throughout the region, including:
Perform a variety of screening tests and techniques, e.g. Spirometry, Audiometry, blood pressure monitoring
Perform Safety Critical Medicals, e.g. Working at height, FLT etc
Delivering Health MOT checks and well being advice
Day to day maintenance of health screening equipment and facilities
Recording and maintaining clear, concise medical records* Ensuring safe storage of medical records and equipment when offsite* Driving mobile health screening units as required* Working to strict protocols and procedures* Evening and night working to deliver health screening assessments (as required)* Observing clients in the workplace in order to gain an understanding of the nature of the work involved in their role

Person Specification:
Experience working in a similar Occupational Health / transferable role or a degree in appropriate field, e.g. Sports & Exercise Science, Sports Rehabilitation, Sports Therapy etc.
Full manual driving licence and flexibility with travel and overnight stays.
Able to communicate at all levels with clients and employees
Able to act on own initiative and work independently
Possess good organisational and prioritisation skills
Be accurate in work undertaken
Able to thrive in a busy environment
Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages
Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
A desire to contribute to the development of an ambitious company
Demonstrate an ability to prioritise and effectively manage own diary and workload, being punctual and reliable.
The role requires an innovative, independent, flexible individual with excellent communication skills. Full training in addition to generous CPD opportunities will be provided.
