Job Description

Established and respected in our field for 25 years McKee's Country Store and Restaurant, successfully operate a thriving Farm Shop, Butcher, Deli and Restaurant which has become a popular destination and often described as a 'food emporium'. Our passion and drive throughout is producing our farm produce offering family meals, boasting an extensive delicatessen and a 140-seater Restaurant. A family run business maintaining 60+ staff members. We Farm - Beef Cattle, Lamb, Poultry and Eggs. Food traceability being key to winning our customer fan base.

Essential:



Nutrition/Food Science degree or equivalent
HACCP Qualification

Food Safety Level 2

Allergen Awareness

Understanding of Quality Management Systems & HACCP.

Experience with Nutritics (or other Food Data Management System)

Experience with Environmental Health Officers (EHO)

Desirable (but not essential):



BRC / EC Approved Plant Experience

Skills



Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Excellent organisational skills

Excellent communication skills at all levels

Liaising and working as a team with our chefs and butchers

Professional telephone manner

Roles & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):



Maintain accountabilities for all operations related to HACCP, Hygiene, Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Pest Control.

Management of food labelling using Nutritics and linking to the till (EPOS) system.

Daily temperature checks, creation and verification of labels for traceability within EC Approved Cutting Plant.

Document Control - Ensuring paperwork is completed, accurate, updated and filled accordingly.

Collating recipes for product management and managing allergen information throughout business and providing cost prices for meals produced.

Placing departmental stock orders via online portals or telephone.

Handling Complaints and Customer Orders.
Collection of sampling for microbiological testing as per schedule.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HACCP, Hygiene, and Safety Standards along with implementing corrective actions based on audit findings, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.

Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and advisory services and schedule audits, inspections, calibrations & meetings as required.

Creating Product Specifications and amending as required.

Training staff internally in-house Food Safety Training & Induction.
Stay updated on evolving regulations and industry standards and implement processes to comply with new requirements.

Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety Legislation, Food Labelling Laws, Health & Safety. Strong attention to detail whilst being able to analyse information.
Handle environmental health and hygiene within the business.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay: 28,500.00-30,000.00 per year
