At Bierton CE Combined School, we are looking for a Nurture Class Teacher to lead our new nurture and well being provision.The role of Nurture Class Teacher is an important one within the school, ensuring that our most vulnerable pupils with SEND receive the care and support they need to succeed in their education. About the roleThe Nurture Class Teacher will need to able to \xe2\x80\x9ctalk the talk\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cwalk the walk\xe2\x80\x9d in their area of work and be an advocate for children with highly complex SEND. You will not just be providing support for individual pupils with SEND however; you will be expected to lead the provision for groups or classes of pupils who require specific adaptations to the curriculum - this includes planning, resourcing and delivering lessons to groups of SEND pupils across the school. You will need a secure understanding of a range of assessment strategies so that you can measure the impact of learning on the pupils you support, and ensure that their provision across the curriculum - including SEN Support Plans and EHCP targets - makes the most impact.In addition to the core role of SEND, you may also need to support groups of pupils or deliver interventions and additional support to children as needed. You will work closely alongside the SENDCo in supporting SEND across the school. This is a diverse role with opportunities to work within different subject areas and with children of differing ages, needs and abilities. There is an expectation that you will work across the school, and so you must be prepared to work with children in the Nursery, right the way through to Year Six. As part of this position, we will expect you to plan, teach and assess young people\'s development, with support as necessary. Applicants must be flexible in their approach to enable our pupils to succeed.Working under the supervision of the Assistant Head and SENDCo, you will form part of the Inclusion Team within the school.As a member of Inclusion Team, you will undertake the following, but not limited to:
\xc2\xb7 Working alongside and leading the teaching for pupils with highly complex SEND within small group provision and the classroom, ensuring that provision is highly personalised and has an impact
\xc2\xb7 Supporting other Teaching Assistants to develop their practice and understanding of pupils with SEND to upskill them to provide highly personalised provision where required, and recommending action where appropriate
\xc2\xb7 Model best-practice of managing pupils with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, and be exemplary in your skills of de-escalation
\xc2\xb7 Being an advocate for all pupils with SEND, so that their needs are championed
\xc2\xb7 Support Class Teachers in ensuring that their classrooms offer quality first teaching, and that appropriate adjustments are made for pupils with SEND, and recommending action where appropriate
\xc2\xb7 Being a named point of contact for some pupils with SEND and who have EHCPs, liaising with parents/carers and holding meetings/discussions where appropriate with the SENDCo (this includes attending Annual Reviews, where appropriate)
\xc2\xb7 Completing aspects of SEND administration and paperwork, including contributing to annual reviews for pupils with EHCPs, ensuring ADPRs are \'live\' and having impact when reviewing these
\xc2\xb7 Supporting with the organisation and effectiveness of interventions across the school under the direction of the SENDCo, supporting Teaching Assistants to ensure that these have maximum impact
