To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

29,120 per annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).

About our Nursery

The Old Station Nursery in Faringdon, Oxfordshire is our flagship nursery, lovingly established by Chairwoman Sarah Steel in 2008. Housed in a beautifully preserved listed railway station, our nursery blends rich heritage with modern excellence to provide an exceptional environment for young learners. Our holistic approach to early education and care is reflected in the numerous accolades we've received, including Millie's Mark, which underscores our dedication to high-quality paediatric first aid and exceptional care. The nursery is located just outside the centre of Faringdon, within the listed station railway building, just off Park Road next to Tesco.

What being a Nursery Room Leader involves

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will work alongside the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while delivering exceptional care and education. Key responsibilities include:


Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy. Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality. Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care. Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children. Overseeing the team's implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities. Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager's absence. Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development. Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child's needs.
