Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team as bank staff and holiday cover. Hours will vary from 0 to 40 depending on the nursery needs per week.

As a Nursery Practitioner you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment as well as attending to the specific needs of the child. You will need to liaise regularly with external support agencies and take leadership guidance from the Setting Leader. Your skills and knowledge will be essential in managing daily activities and ensuring the children's needs are met.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting. Communicate effectively with all children in the setting, parents and colleagues to build positive relationships. Help plan and implement engaging activities that promote, support and enhance the children's development. Observe and assess children's progress, ensuring their individual needs are met. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play. Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery.

Skills/Qualifications

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) Previous experience working with young children Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children and parents. Some Welsh language is desirable Knowledge of nursery practices and early childhood education frameworks. A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting children or resources as needed.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
