Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse apprentice to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care for children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse apprentice, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of young children.

Duties

Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, supporting the developmental milestones of each child. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and foster a supportive community. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development. Manage daily nursery routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices. Collaborate with fellow staff members to create an inclusive environment that respects the diverse backgrounds of all children. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development. Ability to drive is considered an advantage for potential off-site activities or excursions. A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
