Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, ensuring a nurturing and safe environment for children. This role requires effective communication and management abilities to lead a team of childcare professionals while fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians. Fluent Welsh Speaker desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play. Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community through outreach and engagement activities. Monitor children's development through regular assessments and observations. Collaborate with local authorities and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in care.

Requirements

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education, preferably in a managerial role within a nursery setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. A solid understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Ability to drive initiatives that promote a positive learning environment for children. Level 3 qualifications in Early Childhood Education/Childcare. Level 5 in Leadership & Management or equivalent. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
