Nursery Kitchen Assistant
Job Description
ABC Childcare Centre, Wolverhampton are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support the cook in running the kitchen in the preparation and cooking of fresh, nutritious meals for children under the age of 5 years.
Hours of work are 8am-12pm x 5 days between Monday and Friday.
You will be expected to maintain our high standard of hygiene at all times. Duties include preparing, cooking and serving of breakfast, lunch, snack and afternoon tea, carrying out temperature checks, recording them as required & completing the daily diary. You will also be required to carry out on-going cleaning of the facilities and complete all appropriate paperwork.
We are looking for someone who has experience working in a kitchen environment and who has cooked high volumes of food, as we have around 70-100 child in per day. You will also be responsible for the children allergies, and therefore will be expected to have knowledge surrounding allergens.
In line with our Safeguarding requirements, you will need to obtain a clear full Enhanced DBS check. You will also be required to obtain a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, which we will support if you do not already have this.
