Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join our team on a part time basis. You will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.

You may be called upon to cover sickness and holiday cover so you must be flexible with your working hours.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and support to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development. Support the staff with daily routines, including meal times, nap times, toileting, play sessions and cleaning duties. Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring that toys and resources are tidy, safe and accessible. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable. Strong communication skills , both verbal and written. Ability to follow instructions and work at a quick pace A genuine passion for working with young children A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration with fellow staff members.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week

Schedule:

Day shift Monday to Friday No weekends
