Non-Executive Director / Legal Counsel (NED Solicitor) and Board Advisor (at Open Capital Partner www.opencapitalpartners.co.uk) to join our team and help to guide our organization legal strategy.

NED / Legal Counsel responsibilities include supporting and collaborating in preparing legal strategy, guiding and supervising legal and compliance work, and be a company ambassador.

As part of our board of directors, you will assist with regular strategic reviews, business development, partnerships and occasionally with recruitment activities. You will be an ambassador of our company and work with our board and team to ensure we hit our annual goals and accomplish strategic plans.

Responsibilities

Guide on legal strategies and supervise legal work and compliance. Advise on legal risk and opportunities, and tactical approaches. Advise and support on legal drafting, strategic partnerships and potential litigation to resolve disputes. Oversee legal work and compliance on instruments, negotiations, communications, financial promotions and initiatives. Mentor a high-performing team on legal and compliance approaches fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Finance Legal Counsel, Board Advisor or similar role. UK qualifed finance solicitor / lawyer. Admitted to the Roll (Law Society) with current practising certificate in order. Experience in finance, financing, funds and strategic initiatives. Knowledge of venture capital, private equity and corporate finance services. Strong knowledge of law on corporate finance, investment entities, funds, finance contracts, securities, syndication and related compliance. Desirable having held or holding roles as Legal Counsel, NED, Board Advisor, Partner or similar in related organizations to our core services.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: 12,000.00-60,000.00 per year
