This is an exceptional opportunity to join our Board.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is selected to be part of the Government\xe2\x80\x99s New Hospital Programme. This is a unique Non-Executive Board opportunity that will help shape the future services for a population of circa 300,000.
At Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust we aim to inspire hope and provide unparalleled care for the people and communities of Cheshire, helping them to enjoy life to the fullest.
The Trust comprises: Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, in addition to a comprehensive community service through the Central Cheshire Integrated Community Partnership.
We play a proactive role in the development of Integrated Care plans across Cheshire & Merseyside and our local Cheshire East and Cheshire West Place-based systems.
We believe, and it is the cornerstone of our five-year Trust Strategy, there is the opportunity to progress innovative, responsive and effective care in the best setting for the patient, be it in the hospital or out in the community.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals is well-placed to play a leading role in helping to create and drive this vision forward, supported by our ambitious plans for our estate, digital technology and corporate services that align with and will help deliver step changes in our clinical model.
This new Non-Executive Director will be integral to this journey
There has never been a better time to join our organisation. In May 2023, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care announced that the hospitals with Reinforced Auto-Aerated Concrete planks (RAAC) were to be prioritised in the national New Hospitals Programme and we are to have a new Leighton Hospital. It is hoped that, using the \xe2\x80\x98Hospital 2.0\xe2\x80\x99 blueprint,
this new hospital could be operational at the turn of the decade.
We are looking for a Non-Executive Director (NED) who will have significant involvement in overseeing the New Hospital Programme, a unique opportunity to help shape our future hospital and the way we think about care and provide care for our local communities. The successful candidate should therefore bring expertise at a senior level in major change programmes in construction or regeneration.
Whether an existing or aspiring non-executive director, values driven leadership, a collegiate approach and genuine commitment to serving the best interests of our patients and population are essential. Our New Leighton Hospital Campus is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform the district health and care model for the future and the role of NED for the programme is integral to helping us make this happen.
As an organisation that embraces diversity and treats everyone with understanding, dignity and compassion, equality of opportunity is a fundamental principle and applications are therefore encouraged from candidates of all backgrounds
