Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

As a Shift Supervisor for the company you will be at the front-line of making things work. You will have direct responsibility for ensuring the plant runs efficiently and effectively.

You will be required to work closely with all company personnel ensuring a Safety-First Culture is embedded, understood and delivered - challenging areas of concern and promoting good practice.

Responsibilities



Ensure the Site Manager & Production Manager is aware of all functions, processes, concerns and requirements at all times.
To take full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, management of production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes.
To take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the company's quality systems, processes and procedures
Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff
*Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues

*To maximise facility production time, minimising down time and non-productive hours worked.

*To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff

*To ensure all requirement documentation is completed in a timely, accurate and detailed manner.

To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the companies Health and Safety policy
Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand
*To work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective

To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift
*To have an active role in the company's continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company

*Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace

*All employees are responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective

manner to ensure best operating costs

*To champion the company's policies, programmes and systems of work.

Requirements



Minimum 3 years working in a high mass volume processing facility (does not have to be waste related) shift Supervisor or within an equivalent capacity.

Engineering/Maintenance/Electrical Experience

Strong Project Management Skills

Worked within the waste / recycling Industry

Previous Experience of Implementing Planned Maintenance Schedules

Managed, Nurtured & Developed Staff

Experience with PLCs and automated processing equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-14.65 per hour

Expected hours: 52.5 per week
