Night Porter

Brig o' Doon House Hotel

Full-Time/Part-Time (1x each)

We are currently looking for Night Porters at Brig o' Doon House Hotel. We have one full-time position that is 37.5hrs/week (5 nights) and one par-time position that is 15 hours (2 nights).

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a varied and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service during the night shift, ensuring the smooth running of hotel operations, and maintaining high standards of service and safety for all guests. You will also be involved with general portering duties setting function spaces for the following days business.

Part of the award-winning, family-owned RAD Hotel Group, the Brig o' Doon House Hotel is an iconic hotel and prestigious wedding and events venue in the heart of Ayrshire. As our Night Porter, you will play an important role in delivering continuous guest satisfaction and maintaining a secure environment during the night.

Responsibilities:

Bar service to guests during the night, ensuring a welcoming and friendly environment. Wedding and event setups in function rooms for weddings, conferences, and other events Responding to guest requests, check-in/check-out of late arrivals, and ensuring all needs are met promptly and professionally. Ensuring the safety and security of the hotel and its guests throughout the night, including regular checks of public areas and rooms. Assisting with luggage, deliveries, and ensuring the hotel remains clean and organized. Completing required night audit duties, including balancing the financial records for the day. Reporting any maintenance issues or security concerns to the relevant departments.
