We are looking for a Night Cleaning Manager to manage the Back of House and Front of House night cleaning teams ensuring high levels of deep cleaning standards throughout all areas of the hotel. This includes all kitchens, events spaces, restaurants and other public areas in the hotel.
The role is 40 hours per week and permanent night shifts.
Knowledge of chemicals and cleaning products is required for this role, along with up to date Health and Safety guidance. You will also need to have experience of managing a large cleaning team.
The accountabilities for the role are listed below.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To ensure correct cleaning procedures are established and maintained to deliver an outstanding level of cleanliness focusing on the deep cleaning processes which can only be carried out at night.
To recruit, induct, train, develop and manage the night teams ensuring that regular performance reviews are carried out with achievable objectives and grooming standards are adhered to at all times.
To ensure the effective productivity of all cleaning operatives resulting in a clean product every morning by 7am.
To manage weekly rotas and annual leave requests in accordance with business levels.
To have regular meetings with Back of House & Logistics Manager and Executive Housekeeper discussing any issues from the night team.
To conduct regular cleaning audits with the Back of House & Logistics Manager and Executive Housekeeper and ensure that any issues highlighted are actioned.
To manage the quality of the physical Back of House and Front of House product, advising of any faults and adhering to the correct maintenance procedure to ensure issues are resolved quickly.
To be responsible for ensuring that the fabric of the structure and operating equipment is maintained to the highest possible pre-determined standard and stock levels of chemicals and cleaning equipment are maintained.
To take appropriate action to maintain a safe and equitable working environment whilst being sensitive to, and aware of business levels.
To ensure that the night team are familiar with and adhere to the company\xe2\x80\x99s Health and Safety policy and procedures, COSHH and cleaning methods.
To ensure all team members have the necessary training and the tools including correct PPE needed to do the job correctly.
To ensure that all Health & Safety documentation, training and paperwork is up to date at all times including the 3 monthly cycle of fire training.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
Previous experience managing a cleaning team
Exceptional verbal and written communication and excellent interpersonal skills
Team player/team builder driven by and passionate about customer satisfaction and people
Standards and results driven with a strong attention to detail
Working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals and the use of cleaning equipment
Management of H&S and knowledge of COSHH
Conversant with Microsoft Office
