Job Introduction I started with Network Rail in March 2020 under a 2-year contract for a project commissioning train cab radios on GSM-R. I worked extremely hard learning my new role as I\xe2\x80\x99d not had any prior experience working in a telecom\xe2\x80\x99s environment; however, I took every opportunity I could to develop my knowledge and learn more on how my job fitted within the bigger structure of Network Rail. I attended training courses and worked with engineers until I was successful in getting a permanent GSM-R Network Management Technician role in July 2021. I continued to expand my skills further to simplify processes and to improve our efficiency as a team which pushed me towards applying for the Team Leader role as I felt I could make a difference. I was appointed the role of Team Leader in April 2023 and am constantly learning something new every day. Network Rail has many opportunities available and there is no limit to the directions your career can take you. \xe2\x80\x93 Emily Frearson For further information on the role please contact \xe2\x80\x93 Adam.Palmer2@networkrail.co.uk Main Responsibilities Monitoring a large diverse network and dealing with any issues that arise.
