Network Management Technician

Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom

Job Description

Job Introduction I started with Network Rail in March 2020 under a 2-year contract for a project commissioning train cab radios on GSM-R. I worked extremely hard learning my new role as I\xe2\x80\x99d not had any prior experience working in a telecom\xe2\x80\x99s environment; however, I took every opportunity I could to develop my knowledge and learn more on how my job fitted within the bigger structure of Network Rail. I attended training courses and worked with engineers until I was successful in getting a permanent GSM-R Network Management Technician role in July 2021. I continued to expand my skills further to simplify processes and to improve our efficiency as a team which pushed me towards applying for the Team Leader role as I felt I could make a difference. I was appointed the role of Team Leader in April 2023 and am constantly learning something new every day.
