We are currently looking for a .NET Software Engineer to join a global bio-pharma organisation. this is a hybrid role based out of their Winsford site with blended in home working. As the Software Engineer you will work across marketing, sales, manufacturing, and technical support, as well as senior customer representatives, implementing software designs, taking into consideration Company and industry best practices, including necessary records and desired output in line with development processes and deliverables.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will design, develop and maintain software for our scientific instrumentation. You will help to develop software system requirements with the product management team and other engineering functions. the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. The Software Engineer will work across business areas to help deliver software solution projects helping to develop software system requirements with the product management team and other engineering functions.
2. The main focus of the role is to develop scientific instrumentation control and monitoring windows desktop applications. to be suitable for the role you must have sufficient experience using the .NET framework, ideally with VB.NET. + developing SQL with Microsoft Access or SQL Server databases.
3. The team work using software development methodologies Waterfall and Agile.
4. In the role you will use communication protocols for instrumentation or devices (Modbus, OPC, etc.). work management software such as Jira. + software version control systems (GitHub, Source Safe etc.).
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Software Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
2. 5+ years developing software for Windows desktop applications using the .NET framework, ideally with VB.NET. + 5+ years developing SQL with Microsoft Access or SQL Server databases.
3. Experience programming in C/C++/C#. Experience following different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
