The Team:

Engineering team responsible for Software Solutions within S&P Global Market Intelligence. Engineers on this team provide software that manages the administration of credit products such as syndicated loans. Our solutions are written in C# and Angular hosted on AWS and are supported by engineers across the globe.

Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced, driven, Software Engineer. This role will be responsible for full stack development activities in one of our scrum teams. The Engineer is engaged with development, IT and project owner teams to build strategic solutions to tackle complex business initiatives and deliver global commercial software. The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong working knowledge in several of the following technologies: .NET Framework, Web API, .NET Core, REST Services, Docker, Linux, Containerization, Kubernetes, Python. The candidate should also be able to deploy and work with different types of repositories such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL and S3. The candidate should have a passion for learning new tools, technology, and software design patterns as needed in as we grow our architecture and technology stack.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for developing cutting-edge applications that are deployed as microservices that emphasize usability, ease of deployment, performance, and scalability.

Assume a contributor role in developing solutions using the Microsoft .NET technology stack and Python Lambda\'s. The candidate should possess experience with deploying to AWS Cloud services, Automated Testing, and Continuous Integration.

Comfortable with ambiguity - can begin to explore and solve complex problems even when the problem and solution are not always well-defined.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with C# and Python.
Well versed with AWS resources and how they can interact with each other.

Education and Experience:

At least four years related experience required.

AWS certification(s) preferred.
