Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.



The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the

in their highly complex market!

Vacancy Details



In the NDT Inspector position you will ensure the quality and integrity of our structural steel fabrication processes through a range of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.



Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


Perform Visual Inspection (CSWIP 3.0), Magnetic Particle Inspection (PCN MPI Level 2), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT PCN 3.1/3.2) to company and industry standards. Inspect welded components to verify compliance with project specifications and relevant regulations. Accurately interpret and evaluate NDT results according to applicable standards. Create and maintain detailed inspection reports and records. Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate closely with Quality, Welding, and Production teams to maintain high fabrication standards and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Uphold compliance with all company procedures, health & safety policies, and quality standards.



Key Skills & experience



Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll have experience in NDT inspections within the structural steel or heavy fabrication sectors as well as strong understanding of welding techniques and defect recognition.


CSWIP 3.0 - Visual Inspection certification. PCN MPI Level 2 - Magnetic Particle Inspection qualification. UT PCN 3.1/3.2 - Ultrasonic Testing certification. UT 3.7 PCN qualification (advantageous). Experience working to ISO 9712 and EN 1090 standards. Familiarity with QA/QC procedures within a structural steel environment.
