As a National MDU Engineer your role is to pre-wire the MDUs ready for customers to connect too. You will report into the Field Service Manager and you will be working in various types of buildings, in different areas all with their own different objectives that need to be overcome to get them live. As this is partially customer facing having an approachable attitude is key with the adaptability to work across any of the Zzoomm locations, which may change on a regular basis.

Your key responsibilities are...

• You will travel nationally to assist and work across any of the Zzoomm locations.
• Start to finish delivery of an MDU install
• Carrying out the civils if required to get from where the build has stopped to the MDU.
• Pre-wiring the building, externally, internally or via a pole
• Blowing fibre
• Fibre splicing for MDU delivery
• Testing each fibres using a light metre

Skills & knowledge required to do this role...

• Understanding and experience of FTTP Network construction, fibre installation and testing practices
• You will have done previous installs previously; customer installs or preferably MDU installs
• Build great working relationships
• Work flexibility
• Get things right by focusing on the detail and to a great quality
• Report on daily activity to your line manager
• Work to timeframes in line with the build rollout

Qualifications required...

• Tetra 2 trained
• NRSWA Units 1 & 2 qualified
• OH & UG PIA qualified
• MWEP or IPAF Licence
• Full UK Driving Licence
