BAND 4 MUSCULOSKELETAL (MSK) REHABILITATION ASSISTANT PRACTITIONER - COMMUNITY PHYSIOTHERAPY OUT PATIENTS
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Rehabilitation Assistant to join the MSK out-patient physiotherapy team based within our integrated MSK Service . The post will be based in the Hertford , Hertfordshire area but will also include work in our various community musculoskeletal out-reach clinics in East and North Hertfordshire where required . Full or part time hours available and job share considered if appropriate.
You will be part of Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust's multi- disciplinary MSK Service supported by our team of Senior Clinicians and will assist qualified allied health professionals in the delivery of musculoskeletal rehabilitation in a variety of settings.
You will work without direct supervision, but under the direction of the physiotherapy staff in both one to one or group sessions including local leisure centres.
You must hold a full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
To work as a member of the Hertfordshire MSK Service which specialises in the treatment and management of people with musculoskeletal conditions.
To provide both clinical and administrative support within the MSK Physiotherapy Team and to carry own caseload under guidance of qualified allied healthcare professional to enable the delivery of high quality therapy packages to people with musculoskeletal problems.
To be aware at all times of the needs of patients during illness or with disability and to promote and encourage independence, restoration of function and self-management to achieve their personalised goals.

To assist qualified allied health professionals in the delivery of musculoskeletal rehabilitation in a variety of settings.
To work without direct supervision, but under the direction of the qualified staff in the performance of specific tasks for an individual or group, as part of their treatment and rehabilitation programmes. This may be in a community setting such as sports and leisure centres or within out-patient clinics. It will include both individual one to one sessions and group sessions.
To be responsible for a designated caseload of patients, and to organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
To undertake routine assessment of people as appropriate using investigative and analytical skill, under guidance of a qualified allied health professional.
