The Role




Main duties and repsonsibilities:


The Multiskilled Engineer is responsible for achieving and communicating operational targets within their area of responsibility, both within their own team and across the wider organisation. The Multiskilled Engineer will be responsible for ensuring they work with team members to understand the site performance and how they are positivley contributing to achieve targets. They will be able to identify possible areas of improvement.


This role is required to work a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday.


Key areas of focus will include:


OEE Service Quality OTIF Down time - planned maintenance Stock Levels Complaints reduction SSOW/SOPs Safety Conversations Audits Fix it once, fix it right (MTBF and MTTR measures)

The Multiskilled Engineer is responsible for activites within their area.


Key areas of focus will include:


Supervising contractors on their shift ensuring they are working safely and completing tasks to a high standard, with a 'fix it right, fix it once' mentality. To lead and provide engineering support to resolve Breakdowns, and ensure the PPM's are completed. Responsible for identifying necessary parts and equipment required for repairs & improvements are sourced. To carry out both electrical and mechanical installations within skill set. To follow rational and informed decisions with regard to breakdown solutions and completion of individual projects. To carry out Electrical & Mechanical repairs within scope of ability & requirements. To ensure that all planned and unplanned maintenance activities are completed to an agreed standard, ensuring safe working always and carrying out point of work risk assessments. Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work is applied for all activities which you team undertake and that they are appropriately and properly risk assessed. Use SAP to capture all maintenance activities. Maintain Engineering Housekeeping standards, be part of, or carryout audit when required. Ensure that we are compliant to BRCGS standards. Ensure parts are booked out correctly to help control stock levels in stores Be able to work effectively as a team not only with engineering team but also with production. Work in accordance with sites certifications. Actively engage and participate in all elements of Health and Safety requirements. Ensure a shift handover is conducted to ensure the clear and concise communication between shifts.

Skill & Experience




+ Experience of working within a Production or Service environment - preferably Print or FMCG. + Ability to demonstrate Electrical / Mechanical maintenance skills and faultfinding.
+ Capable of using PLC I/O as a diagnostic tool.
+ Works with the team and able to work on own initiative
+ Customer Service: provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
+ Compliance: comply with Company policies and procedures and management instructions.
+ Flexibility: for ad hoc travel as needed e.g. training
+ Commitment to training: (as a minimum), look to enhance own skills though on the job learning, coaching, and dedicated training courses.
