Overview

This role is for a Multi-skilled Craftsperson whose primary function is to work as part of a team that provide an in house fast track machining service to all areas of the business, in support of projects and standard product. They will form part of a machine shop team that is situated within RF Power Engineering.

Job Requirements

• Able to demonstrate use of/knowledge of CNC Machine tools.
• Computer literate conversant with CAD/CAM file transfer.
• Competent level of machining knowledge and application
• Competent in online inspection of the produced components using a range of measuring equipment
• Competent in reading and understanding technical drawings
• Complying With all Health and safety requirements as outline by the company.
• Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping.
• Knowledge of material science
• Disciplined approach and good communication skills
• Be proactive in seeking resolutions to problems
• Ability to effectively manage time and costs
• Ability to motivate self to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively and to track progress to deal with any issues as they arise
• Cad Cam offline programming experience (FeatureCam, preferred but not essential as inhouse training can be given)
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

Desirable

• Ability to develop and maintain a strong network across different functional and project groups
• BTEC Level 3 / HNC or equivalent qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline
